Ok, if it's possible you can love furniture....then I am head over heels! I am swooning over these beautiful chairs! I want them... all 6 of them....for $180! Oh how they make me smile. Gag, I know...but SO TRUE! No if only I had a table for them. I heart you pretty chairs!!

Weekend Surprise

This weekend I am surprising Clint and the kids with a trip to Arlington to see the TX Rangers in action! I know Blake is going to be out of his mind excited! I was able to get great seats at 1/2 off through Travel Zoo online.

In checking out what else we could do in Arlington, I spotted this on the visitors bureau website...

It's one of those GIANT "flea" markets that is full of treasures just waiting to be discovered...made over....and rehomed (is that a word?). I am SO pumped to get to go! It's only 5 miles South of where we will be!!! I hope to come home with lots of fun treasures!!!! YIPPEE!

Hunting for a dresser!

I am searching high and low for a dresser like this...

So that I can do something like this to it.....

And use it as a TV stand in our living room.

I saw a few on craigslist, but nothing exciting. Our "entertainment center" now consists of a torn apart Ashley one that I had a LONG time ago. It's falling apart and is such an eye sore!!!

Hopefully I can find a really cute dresser in the near future to re purpose and make into a darling entertainment center!

Lake Eufaula Whole Hawg Weekend 09'

We had a great time this past weekend at Lake Eufaula with our friends, The Due's. We were able to stay in a great cabin with beds for everyone thanks to friends of the Due family. The kids loved tubing and fishing and swimming! We enjoyed relaxing on the beach and taking it easy. It got us excited about our upcoming beach trip to S. Padre for the Ruff Rider Regatta over Labor Day weekend!

Captain Jeff rescuing Clint and Blake on the catamaran. On Saturday when we got out on the lake, Clint thought he would get the boat out and sail it over to the beach for the day. I offered to go with him but he said that he would take Blake. In the end I'm glad he did because there was ZERO wind and eventually Jeff had to go out and tow him in. We had to tow them back at the end of the day too. I felt bad that they didn't get to sail at all!! Oklahoma wind is usually ALWAYS blowing...but not this weekend!

Early Birthday!!!!

This wonderful man gave me my birthday present early on Friday. I screamed and jumped up and down when I opened the bag and found this...
The Canon EOS Rebel XS Digital Camera!!!! I have wanted one for so long. I was so excited and started playing with it immediately! The cute hubby pic above is the first picture I took with it! I was so pumped!
It takes AMAZING pictures and my favorites to take are portraits and closeup shots. It's so crisp and clear!!! I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way to get them on my blog posts...but i'm gettting there.

Mom and Brandon's Quick Visit to Oklahoma

Mom and Brandon (my little brother) made a quick trip up from San Antonio to visit this week. It was great to see them both and it really seemed like their stay was super fast!!

On Wednesday night I had the family over to my house for dinner and homemade ice cream!! Mmmmmmm! Clint is getting realy good at making it. Here he is using Bobbie's old machine. It made it in 1/2 the time as ours and it was SO creamy and good! Bobbie let us keep it! It was the one that she has used ever since I can remember, so I was happy to get it handed down to ME!!

So frustrated with my fuzzy camera!! Here is Bobbie smiling pretty!

I love checking out the Cake Wrecks blog. She has so many hilarious wrecks and really they make you laugh out loud.

So when I saw pics from my cousins baby shower, and the CAKE, I knew what I had to do....

Small Table Makeover

I'm sure you all can remember the bench seat I found at a local "thrift store/flea market". It was SO much fun to make over!!

So when I finished my chairs I felt I needed a new little side table to put between them. I knew exactly where to go!! I found this cute table for $15 at the same thrift store!

Yes, that's a hand painted top. What a cute "frenchie" with a sunflower bonnet! As I was checking out the man said, "Wow, what a great find. Someone spent a lot of time hand painting that on there".

So I felt a little bad that I had to do this to the little "frenchie"....

But it was for a good reason!! Sorry "frenchie". I headed to Lowes to find just the right aqua blue to go with the striped fabric I had recovered my chairs with.

After 2 coats and a few hours, I was SO excited to place my cute table inbetween my new chairs!! I need something on the wall behind them now, but I LOVE the makeover!!

I shopped my house and put a few things on the table. Doubt they will stay, but it works for now!! SO HAPPY with the outcome!!!

Mouth Guard what???

So I have said many times that I am getting OLD!! First it was 9 fillings at once (dont gross out, I DO brush my teeth a LOT), then it was my minor surgery mole removal with a 1 1/2 inch scar, now it's my teeth again....this time it's a problem i have had since I was a kid. Only it's a 1000x worse now that i'm old!
I grind my teeth every night. Sometimes I clinch my jaw so hard that it wakes me up in pain. I'm REALLY tired of feeling like a broke down car!!
I now have to wear this very attractive mouth guard at night. Ok, stop laughing!
