If these pictures of CAKE POPS don't make you want to jump up and start baking, i don't know what will! I will admit, I'm NO baker...but when I saw these at Bakerella, I had to wonder if I could really do it?!

Spray Paint Party

One of my fav blogs, Thrifty Decor Chick, is hosting a "Spray Paint Party" and I wanted to join in on the fun!! My expertise is still at "beginner", but I'm getting there.

These are wood knobs from Lowes ($.97 for a pack of 2) that I decided to spray paint for my daughters room.

Then I added some white polka-dots.

This yummy chandelier was a crazy shade of red (someone beet me to the spray paint at some point) that I bought from a thrift store for $5!!!! Now its a BEAUTIFUL shade of turquoise in my kitchen!!

An Answer to my Swimsuit Prayer!

Lime Ricki, where have you been all these summers? Okay, maybe not ALL...I do recall summers in my "not so distant" past where I could bare all in a cute bikini. Not so much now. Maybe I can get that body back before summer, but who knows. That's where Lime Ricki steps in! Oh how I LOVE these swimsuits. I want ALL of them!! My Next Craft...Hanging Tassels!

I have looked and looked for a good tutorial on how to make these adorable hanging tassels.
And now, thanks to Lindsay over at "Living With Lindsay"...I have one! She made this CUTE chocolate bunny tassel that I LUV. I can't wait to get over to Hob Lob to get some great trim and make my own!!

Date Night with Blake

Last Friday Blake and I had our "Date Night". He decided that we should go see the movie, "Paul Blart, Mall Cop". It was hilarious! We had a fun date night.
Precious Blake talked non-stop and even forgot to use his "movie theatre" voice. We discussed everything from cop cars in Kansas (have NO idea where that came from) to baseball, guitar, to how guitar...piano...keyboard...drums....ALL use hands. He had a good time and that's all that matters!

Digi Scrapbooking attempt!

This is the first layout I have done using the digital scrapbooking. I'm slowly learning how to use Gimp (free photoshop tool) to it's fullest. I'm loving it...and best of all, it's FREE. Yes, all of it. The scrapbook kits you can download for free on the web. Some of my fav sites are:

Last night I went to Lowes and picked out a pretty yellow to paint my craft room. Little did I know that my sweet husband was going to start on it when I got home (at 8:30).

I can't WAIT to start crafting in there!!!

Dear IKEA representative:

WHY oh WHY can't I order online from your store? And why is it that I can order a $10 storage basket online but the shipping is $20?

Can you please tell me WHY....

Why can't you put a store in Oklahoma? That way, I can spend the $20 in your store instead of cancelling my order because $20 for shipping on a $10 item is outrageous!

Just Hangin Out

Cherry and I are working hard today. hee hee. She has been great today at the office. Probably a little sick of her Boppy, but it's gone great.

Little Caroline Joy

My sweet, sweet friend Kerri had her little baby girl on Monday morning. Caroline Joy was born at 10:15 and was 8lbs 3oz and 20in long. She is SO cute! I'm so happy for my precious friends, the Due's.

The Sac was violated!

Yes folks, the cul-de-sac has been violated! Someone broke into our car (and our neighbors car) last night and stole our laptop! There is nothing more infuriating (well..almost nothing) then a thief! I mean....really?

1 Month Old

Our little Cherry Pie turned one month old on Saturday (March 7th). She is such a good baby. She is starting to let out a few extra grunts when she's hungry, but that's about it. She is eating 3oz every 3 hours and is starting to stay awake a little longer during the day. She loves being held, but can be content sleeping in her bouncy or the swing too. She has been a joy.

Craft Room!!!!

When we moved into our "new" house we gave up a lot of space. One of my favorite spaces that I had to give up was my craft room. I LOVED that space. It was just so nice to have all my craft stuff in one room...and I got to leave it out when I was working on something.

So when we moved into this house I gave into the fact that my "new" craft room was a corner of the garage! Not even a corner...more like just a table.

Well yesterday Clint said, "I'm going to Lowes to get some supplies". I asked him what for and he said, "to build you a craft room". I thought.... right now? He left, and an hour later came back with a trailer load. I was shocked.

So then he cleaned out the area...

And then I left for the grocery store. When I came back, this is what I found....

It had sheet-rock and everything! After our Bible study last night he started taping and pasting it (not sure the word for that). He said he could have it textured and ready for paint by the weekend! Man my husband is GOOD to me!!! I can't wait to get "crafty" in my new room!!!! Thank you honey....you're the BEST!!

Easter Decor

I'm trying to decorate my house for Easter without spending a lot of money. I haven't gotten very far, but it's a start.

One Week Ago Today

Today our sweet angel has been gone exactly one week. I still cry at the drop of a hat but that just makes me want to fight all I can to get someone to admit they were wrong. In a perfect world they would do just that...and send him back home where he belongs, but we all know this is not a perfect world.
I try and remind myself that God is in control, that He has wonderful plans for our little guy, and that He is watching over him all the time. It does give me peace.
I have not gone into his room to clean it up (from packing) yet. I still have his sheets on and his pillow in his crib. I slept with his two "babies" (his stuffed pig and bear) before he left so that he would have our smell on them. I sure hope that has given him some comfort at night.
I have been trying to get the nerve to call the other foster mom, but I guess I'm afraid of what she may say. I don't think I could handle hearing that he's not happy or something like that.

I'm going to take it one day at a time and remember that God has him in His hands.

He is missed more then words can say.

Setting the house on fire...i mean, lighting the candles!

Clint's b-day was fun. We enjoyed some amazing homemade lasagna at Mimi and Grands house on Friday night. Clint and Kendra had fun putting a bazillion candles in their cupcake cakes. Little Cherry enjoyed being snuggled the whole time, and I enjoyed a couple of beers. Ooops, did I just say that? I have not had a beer in about 3 months (or longer)...so after my 2nd one I was dancing on the tables...just kidding.

I needed to cut loose a little. Ever since our little guy left I have been a complete head case. I cry every night wishing he would come home. I miss him so much! I try to just focus on the funny things we enjoyed with him. That helps.
