I had a special Mother's Day this year! Mom and Brandon came up on Thursday and stayed till Monday morning. We all got together at Amy's for homemade ice cream and cake. Laynie and Blake got to spend most of the day with us, so that was nice.
For Mother's Day Clint got me a pretty flower to sit on my new sink in the kitchen, Blake made me a clay boot (from school) and Laynie made me a very sweet card.
I love my two sweet kids!!!
Here's a pic of Laynie at Amy's... She's so beautiful!

Mother's Day 2010 (and Mom & Brandon visit)
Recent Projects in the works
I have SEVERAL projects on my list right now. Too many to admit!
Clint took me to The Rink in OKC a few weeks ago and I was in HEAVEN! If you are in OK, you HAVE to go....it's full of fun, funky treasures! I bought a few things....two of which are undergoing some color changes. First was this CaUte little chair...
I'm over red....so it's getting a fresh teal paint job! "After pics" will be posted soon.
Then I spotted this FABULOUS mirror (it's taped up for painting in this pic). It was only $24 and I had to have it. It's currently on it's 3rd coat of heirloom white spray paint!
This is a bad pic from my cell phone, but this is the new curtain/shower curtain that I have made for the kids' bathroom. That whole room is redone and I can't wait to post "after" pictures of it! All that's left to do is paint he cabinet doors!! YIPPEE! Clint has worked hard on it for me and it's just looking fab!
Another obsession of mine is chandeliers! There is practically one in every room! This beauty was bought for Laynie's room for $5!! This was the before (oops, starting spray painting it before I remembered to take a before pic). Lots to say!!
Seems as though 2010 is flying by! I have missed blogging a lot and really need to catch up! I figured I would lump a few things into this one post in hopes that will help me... so we'll see.
In April Clint and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Here he is opening his iPad that I got him. Totally posed, but still very funny. He loves that thing like crazy! I admit, it is pretty cool.
My anniversary gift was my new dining room table and buffet! I got it on Craigs list in Tulsa, and I can't wait to paint it and recover the seats! It's on the "to do" list! ;)
School is winding down! I am so excited to have the kids off for the summer. Maybe even more then they are! Laynie had her 7th grade concert last week. She sang a "solo" in the song "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head". They did great and the concert was entertaining! I'm loving that the older the kids get the more interesting their productions are....nothing like they used to be! ;)
In other news...... we have finally started updating our kitchen!!! First order of business was to get rid of the 1970's WHITE TILE counter top! I chose a dark Formica "granite looking" top and Clint had it installed in ONE day! It looks fantastic and is so much nicer then the tile! I will have to take some "after" pics that include the new sink, faucet and stove top. They are all very nice.Friday, May 14, 2010
Happy Birthday!
I loved when you decided that the bear and pig were your "babies". They had to go everywhere with you. It was so sweet to see you bond with them! I am glad I sent them to live with you. I hope they are still your "babies".
See..... bear and pig again! hee hee hee.
I loved to make you feel better when you were sick. Bless your heart, you were sick a lot! Here, you wanted your blankets and your paci while you ate. How could I say no?! I just made you snug in your highchair....and everything was better!Friday, May 7, 2010

Dress Model & another sewing project!
My last two dresses I made for my BFF's little sweetie...and I finally got a few pics. She is a very active 1 year old, so the pics are "action" shots! haha.
Here's the "pillowcase" dress I made out of my Heather Bailey fabric (my fav). She wore this as her Easter dress...how CA-Ute!
Here's the ruffle dress....with my poor choice of thread...but cute nonetheless! She is such a precious model!Taylor Swift
Thanks to by super sister in-law... I was able to take Laynie to see Taylor Swift last week. Our seats were GREAT and we had a fabulous time!
I had been looking for something for Laynie to "reward" her for her WONDERFUL grades and her overall attitude. She is such a wonderful young lady and such a joy to be around!!!
Here's Laynie in our "box" seats before the concert.
Kelly Pickler opened for Taylor. She was very good and really full of energy!
Taylor had some amazing stage sets!! She put on a great show...I think she sang for over 3 hours!
