Tattoo who?

ME!!!!!

Yes, I got a tattoo. I know, I know...what was I thinking...right? Take a deep breath..it will be ok. Promise.

Here's me BEFORE the agonizing scraping began!!!

So cheerful, so excited....SO UNAWARE OF WHAT IS TO COME!!

Introducing "Boogie". He's the one responsible for the next few pictures! Still not sure of his real name. He just went by "Boog" or "Boogie". Whatever works.

Here's me, getting ready to sit in the "chair of doom". Ha ha.
Boogie cleans my foot off.... not that it was dirty! ;) At least we know he was sanitary!
He places the ink...

(it says "Patience"...it's meaningful to me...)

Then the torture began!
At first I thought, "Ahhh hahaha, this isn't so bad"....

Then...

....it BEGAN!!!

I begged for "mercy"! Screaming in pain...I even shed a tear. I know, I'm a total baby...but you have to remember, my friend Kerri went before I did and she said it was worse then NATURAL child birth!!!

but I knew it couldn't just end with PATI... I mean, people would really wonder who "Pati" was!!
So I let him continue...
Until finally (after a LONG 5 min of pain..hee hee) I was DONE!
And now I have a cute, hot pink tattoo that says "patience"!

Bench Seat- Check, Pillows- Check Check!!

Everyone knows how much I LURVE "Thrifty Decor Chick". Her blog is so inspirational! She is having a "Goodwill Party" on her blog and I thought I would join in on the fun.

So you all remember this little gem I got for $12 for Laynie's room....

I recovered the seat with this CA-UTE fabric from Hob-Lob!.....Then painted the legs and such, a FUN lime green...

reattached the seat, and hot glued some black pom-pom trim around it and...

TAAAA-DAAAA!!!!
I think it turned out really cute!! I was proud of my first recover makeover!

So.... at the same time as the bench refurb.... I was working on my new couch pillows. Remember the amazingly fabulous fabric? (Sorry, bad picture with my phone)

I made these.....

And one on each side.

Next up are my "toad stool" ottomans! They are going to be recovered to "go" with my new pillows. Nothing crazy..just a green that blends. I can't wait!!!

Design Blogs

I love when I come across a new design blog. It's like finding a treasure at a thrift store or garage sale. Just makes me gitty! Today when I was checking out all my normal blogs, I came across "Design Sponge". Oh, be still my heart!!! From what I have seen in the past 20 min that I have been reading, it's a load of before and afters to die for! I picked out a few of my favorites, but you will have to choose a few for yourself. So click HERE and check out all of her FAB transformations! I hope it inspires you to do something fantastic!

Laynie's Program

Laynie had a choir concert on Friday night. They sang Disney songs and she had a few "acting" parts. It was really cute and she did a fantastic job. She is almost done with physical theropy for her leg and we are so happy for her that she's pretty much out of her boot!! Just in time for our vacation to Branson next week. They are very excited!

Family Fun

This past weekend my sister and her family made a stop at our house on their way to/from Rolla, MO (where her sister in-law graduated from college this weekend).
We had a lot of fun with the kids. They are really growing like crazy. I'm still not sure how my sister does it day in and day out with a 7 month old, a 2 1/2 year old, and a 4 1/2 year old!!! All so full of energy!

Izzy enjoying some McDonalds!

Luke and his favorite things (dinos, cars, animals)

"Little" Ma Ty-Ty (Matthias)

All of this cuteness and some diaper cakes to make and send to California!

Almost Finished!

You all remember this bench... my cute thrift store find for $12?

And this cute material I picked out to recover the seat....

Here is the new bench all dressed up in GREEN!!! So cute!
Now I just have to make sure it doesn't need a 3rd coat...and then attach the fabric and put the seat back on. Then im DONE! Can't wait!!
