Around the house

Last year Clint and the kids got me a Lemax village for Christmas. I have always wanted to set up a little Christmas village and now I can! I have added a few things to my collection over the past year, and still need to buy the school house... but here is what we have set up so far. It's so cute!!!

My FAVORITE Holiday!

Christmas is my favorite time of year. A time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
As a kid it was that way for the obvious reasons, but now that I am an adult my reasons have changed. I love that it's the time of year that my family is in town and that everyone gets together. I love to give gifts!!! I love to go to Bobbie & Doddie's house... there is NO better place then their house on Christmas (shhhh, don't tell Bobbie since I talked her into letting us host Christmas this year). I love decorating the house & the Christmas tree! I love to shop for everyone! I love looking at other people's Christmas lights. I love egg nog and decorating sugar cookies! I love when Aunt Pat makes her sugar cookies, they rank right up there with Eileen's cookies!!! I love that every year that goes by, Doddie's toasts get more and more sentimental and special. I love that Bobbie loves Mad Dog 20/20 and considers that "wine"!!! I love to wear cozy, fuzzy, fleece pajama bottoms and sit in the floor for hours and wrap presents! I love to put presents out under the tree at 1 am, just to wake up a few SHORT hours later to watch Laynie and Blake tear through them! I love playing Santa! I love seeing Izzy's face when she opens any kind of present, good or bad... it's like you gave her something AMAZING!!
I love my family.... each and every one of them! I love Christmas!

Sew Cute and Crafty

Okay, that's the new name of my online boutique. I have a website, but it's not really up and running yet. It's http://www.sewcuteandcrafty.com

I will let everyone know when it's official.

I plan on selling anything from custom lampshades, to baby bibs, to diaper cakes. Anything that is crafty and cute! I will keep you posted.

Bye Bogie

After 2 1/2 years of pure fun with Bogie, we are saying goodbye. He is going to live with a couple that were recommended to us by my friend, Bonnie. They live on 4 acres, and already have a female boston terrier who is the same age. They are an older couple with kids already grown. Bonnie says that their dogs are their "babies". I feel good about giving him to them. I know he will be well taken care of. That doesn't mean I have not been crying all day! Bonnie is picking Bogie up today at 5 to deliver him to his new home.

Another great find!

I found this other website that allows you to edit pictures online (like photoshop). It's completely free, or you can pay $24.00 for the year and get some of the upgraded tools. It's really cool. Check it out.

Shop for deals!

I read this on another blog and I thought it was really cool. Perfect for the holiday shopping season!

Comparison-shopping just a whole lot easier -- the next time you’re looking for the best price on something you must have, call 1-888-DO-FRUCALL from your cell or any phone. After you enter the product barcode and a zip code for shipping estimate, you’ll hear the best prices for it among online merchants. It also lets you bookmark online stores or leave yourself voicemail reminders about a product as well. The best part is that the service is free!

Trick-or-Treat

Last night Clint and I stayed home and handed out candy. There was a million kids that came to our house and we were out of candy by 7:15! Laynie and Blake stopped by and they were so cute! Blake dressed as Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Laynie was an Egyptian girl.
