Smores Please!

Friday night we thought it would be fun to make smores! The kids, of course, thought that was a great idea. The fireplace was REALLY hot (that explains the look on my face). Believe it or not, we only ate 1 each! They were very rich and yummy! The kids went back to their Mom's this week. They are going trick-or-treating Wednesday. Blake is going to be Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Laynie is going to be a Egyptian girl. Clint and I will be at home handing out candy!

It's that time of year!

It's that time of year again. Time to dress up like silly people and have fun. Clint and I went to a Halloween party on Saturday night. We went as "OU Fans". You have to have gone to at least 1 OU home game, and be from Oklahoma to understand our outfits. If you can't tell... Clint has a mighty fine looking mullet wig on. It was pretty funny. Everything with us is good. The kids are with us this week. Blake only has 2 more football games, and I hate to say it but I'm glad.
The weather changed over the weekend. It was hot and in the upper 70's, low 80's... but last night that all changed. Today it's rainy and the high is in the 50's. Of course it's super windy too!

Edmond Youth Choir

Laynie is a member of the Edmond Youth Choir. Yesterday at the Children's Festival at Mitch Park she had her first performance. They sang 9 songs. This festival was part of the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration. The bottom picture is of the kids carving their pumpkins that evening. It's odd not to be writing about the house for once. We are still getting things in order. It will take a while. Clint cleaned out the garage and now we can both park in there, so that's nice. With regular house chores it's hard to stay on top of the random unpacking of the boxes. Most everything has a home, but there are a few "hidden" boxes still.

More Move In Pics

So here are a few more pictures around the house. We get a little more moved in each day. The kids came home yesterday and spent their first night in their new rooms. They really loved everything. They think the intercom system is the coolest (I do too!) and they love having their own bathrooms. Every day I work on organizing something or unpacking something, so hopefully sooner then later we can get settled in! We still have stuff at the old house to get, but it's minor stuff. The cleaning of the other house is NOT something that excites me!! We have until the end of the month, so that helps!

The desk off the kitchen.

My cute sheep and my kitchen sign on the counter in the kitchen.

The living room from the other side of the room (the other view is in the previous blog)

The micro and oven...

Clint's favorite...the grill and the outside sink with garbage disposal.

Moving IN

Our living room

The kitchen (a little messy for now)

Bogie upstairs in the "play/TV room".

The mud room/ back entry.

Looking down from the landing on the stairs.

So we have finally moved into our new house (moved in, not settled in yet)! I have had the past two days off, so I have had a change to unpack a bunch and clean even more. Things are slowly coming together. Bogie didn't know what to think about the new house. He wouldn't go up the stairs until yesterday! The kids are with their Mom until Monday, so we have had a chance to set up their rooms and unpack for them. They will be so excited to see everything.

Cleaning & Carpet!

This weekend was FULL of cleaning! It gets pretty overwhelming when you think about having to clean the whole house! The dust is just everywhere... and thick! The carpet guys are finishing up today and Clint said we can spend the night if we want. We'll see about that. I think I will be vacuuming tonight! The kids are with their Mom this week, so we have all week to move in and start getting settled. They are excited that when they come back it will be to the new house!

Laynie helped me clean the kitchen. Here she is cleaning Clint's wet bar.

They started laying the carpet pad on Saturday. Today when I went out there they were almost finished!

This is the "art room". We laid vinyl flooring in here so it would be easy to clean. It looks really good.

Here is the king size bed I got this weekend at Mathis Brothers. It was in the "as is" department but there was nothing wrong with it at all. I got it for 1/2 the price! I got Blake a bed as well in the "as is" room!
