Clint got a lot of wood down this weekend! He is 99.9% done! My Dad helped on Saturday and Clint's Dad came out and soaped up the screws yesterday. (if you put soap on them, they go in easier). I figured I was not needed downstairs, so I was upstairs cleaning! It was a VERY dusty job. The trim carpenters are ready to lay down the baseboards, so we needed to clean out all of the saw dust/drywall pieces that were stuck in the cracks. It was SO hot up there!

Our Weekend Plans
Here is a few pictures of our weekend project. Clint decided he wanted to be the one to finish the screened poarch, so last night we started working on it. After 3 broken drill bits, he sent me home! haha. I did help, but it was harder then I thought. The kids are at their mom's this weekend, so we will be spending all of our time at the house working on the poarch. Our cabinets are supposed to be delivered today, but Clint says that could mean Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait to see the cabinets! The trim carpenters are hard at work. They have the upstairs closets done. It so cool to see everything coming together!

Trim Time!
They are done putting up drywall and taping/texturing, so the trim carpenter started today! It's so neat to be able to walk through the house and actually have walls! It's just really exciting to see it come together. Clint worked all weekend cleaning out the mess that the drywall people left and I picked out trim and siding colors for the outside. I must be good because I liked the first two that I picked out and painted on the house to try it out! haha.

This picture above is looking down the hallway toward our bedroom at the end. The open space to the right is the dining room.
This is looking down on the entry from the upstairs.
This picture is looking from the playroom down the hall, upstairs.
Here is Clint in the kitchen.
Our garage doors were hung on Friday! They still need to be stained, but they look good!Tuesday, July 17, 2007
LifeKids Summer Camp
Well the kids are off to LifeKids Camp (our church is Life Church). They left today at noon and were so excited. This is Blake's first year going, but you couldn't tell. He was really looking forward to getting on the bus and getting to camp! He almost just got on without even saying goodbye. Laynie was excited too. This is her 3rd, and last, year. Next year she will go to the older youth camp.

House Update
Hi everyone! I went out to the house yesterday and took some pictures of the finished fireplace and fountain. The insulators are done... that's why the walls are a poofy white color. The fireplace seems a bit darker in person. The rock fountain has a little "pond" at the bottom of it. The kids suggested that we all get a gold fish and put it in there. Mine will be named Oscar (RIP).
The guys are supposed to start putting up sheetrock today. The other picture is of the back of the house (the soon-to-be screened in poarch). You can see where I have started trying out some colors(to the right of the fireplace).
I'm so glad that most everything is inside work now because this rain is relentless! I think this is the coolest summer we have had here in a LONG time! It has yet to get over 92 or so.
(Not sure if you knew this, but if you click on the pictures they will be bigger to see)
On a different note... the kids go to church camp next week. They are really excited! I hope to get us all down to San Antonio in the next couple of weeks for a nice visit! I miss my family!!!

My first sewing experience
Last night I put my new sewing machine to work! I made this pillow, fringe and all! It was pretty hard because it seemed that no matter how many times I pinned something, it was still coming out crooked!! That's what took the longest... keeping everything straight! It was pretty cool to see the product of my labor... and it even looked decent!
