Martin Nature Center

On Sunday I took Clint and the kids out to Martin Nature Center. They had never been and it's a really fun place. The weather was perfect for it! It's mainly trails and just enjoying nature. There is a spring fed stream that the kids were dying to cross... so, as you can see, we did! The water was pretty chilly but it was fun. Clint had to come back and get me since I wanted to take pictures of them getting across. What a sweet husband!

The kids caught a tiny turtle too. It is about the side of a 1/2 dollar. They wanted to keep it, so now it's in our kitchen in Laynie's aquarium! It's a little stinky so we may do a little switch-a-roo on the kids and get one from Pets Mart instead. Hee hee.

We took the kids out on Friday night to check out the house and boy were they excited! Seeing Blake walk into his new room made me realize just how big it is! We are going to have a LOT of room to grow! I will post some new pictures of the house this week. I believe they start roofing this week if the rain will stay away!

1st Anniversary

Our first anniversary was really special! Clint and I have not been feeling all that great, so I was thinking we would go out to dinner or something like that over the weekend. Clint had other plans!!! He picked me up from work on Friday (bags already packed) and we drove to Dallas and stayed at the Crescent Court and had a SPA DAY on Saturday! It was SO nice! I had a massage, a facial, a manicure and a pedicure! Not to mention being treated like royalty all day!

It was so sweet and thoughful! We had a wonderful 1st anniversary!

Cutest Niece Ever

There is no doubt that I have the cutest niece ever! She is such a firecracker! Angie shared these pictures with everyone a few days ago and I had to put my favorites on the blog!

I can't believe how fast things seem to go in this stage! One day it's just a concrete slab and the next you can actually walk through it and see the different rooms, etc. It's so exciting! I took Laynie out there last week and she loved it. They can't wait until the upstairs is done so they can see their rooms. The weather is finally nice enough to work on it again. They should have the upstairs done by next week!!!

I'm so excited! They are pouring our slab at the new house today! Clint said they should be framing by Monday. I can't wait to see it really start to come together! We had such bad rain this past weekend that I thought it would be a while before they were able to work out there again, but thank God that the water was soaked up quick and we are moving ahead!

Blake's first T-ball game was last night. He really played great! He had MANY hits way into the outfield!

San Antonio

Clint, the kids, & I are off to San Antonio until Tuesday. We are going to visit my sweet niece and nephew! Izzy has gotten so big! She sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to me the other day over the phone. I can't wait to love on them!! Laynie is SO excited about seeing Izzy. We will be hearing "Yanie" all weekend!!
Our house is moving along. We finally got "dozer boy" to finish digging our footings and now we are on to the next phase... pouring the foundation and getting the plumbing done. I'm so excited. I have a countdown date of October 31st!
