My "workspace"

Not sure why, but the space in front of and beside the fireplace in the living room has become my work area. It started a few weeks ago when the kids were gone and I didn't want to be upstairs alone.... while Clint was downstairs watching TV in the living room! So... I moved my "stuff" downstairs. I only meant to do this for that week, but it has become my spot now!!! I have gotten better at picking up when I'm done, but not all the time!!

Transformation!!!

Since Ellis Homes has moved out of their offices and back to having a home office, we were blessed with being the most empty of the two houses so we now have all of the office furniture!!! Ruth came over on Saturday and did an excellent job in transforming our dining room and our sitting room! They look SO good!

This is our dining room now!

This is Clint's office upstairs.
Our "new" painting!
The sitting room now! It's really cozy!

Latest Creations

I have been really busy in the past few days making diaper cakes. These are my latest. The little Giraffe was a hit. I have already sold two! The Little Sailor cake was custom made for a baby shower gift. I have two more that I am working on. One is to donate to the Orvis Risner PTA for their Spring Auction at the end of Feb. It's a great way to get the word out!

Hannah Montana in 3-D!!!

You really can't say you have "lived" until you see Hannah Montana in 3-D!! Ha Ha Ha.
Laynie and I went with our friend Melissa and her daughter Riley to see HM in 3-D last weekend. It was a concert and some backstage drama... all in 3-D. It was pretty cool, but at times made me a little woozie! They are coming out with a few movies this summer that are going to be in 3-D. Should be interesting.
As you can see in the picture... we didn't have to wear the cheap paper glasses! We rocked the black plastic ones!!!

Patience Pays Off

I'm so excited! I got my first diaper cake order online! Actually it came from Kangaroodle, which is a cute website that sells my cakes.

I'm normally an "instant gratification" kind of girl, and not selling anything but a few bows here and there was getting a little frustrating!

This just shows that hard work and patience pays off!!!
Also, thank you to everyone that has been so kind as to forward on my website to friends and family! I appreciate the support!!

Buried in Bows!

Yes, I feel like I am buried in bows! I work every night on some new, cute bow for my website. I can make at least 5 or 6 a night. Depending on what else is going on.

These are a few of my latest.
Things around the Ellis's house have been pretty quiet. Everyone is back in some sort of routine (as much as we can be). Work has been ok despite the very volatile markets. We had our yearly audit today, and it went really good... so that was a relief.
I hope all my readers (yes, all 3 of them) are doing great!

I'm Ashamed!

I'm so ashamed that I have not blogged in FOREVER! Between playing hostess, Santa, step-mom, bow maker, diaper cake creator, etc......... that has not left a lot of blogging time. Usually if I have time on my hands, I fill them with ribbon and make something. As you all know I have started my own boutique on the web, www.sewcuteandcrafty.com
It has been really fun. I have had a lot of great support from my fabulous hubby! The orders are not pouring in.... YET! I'm hopeful though.
The kids have been doing great. Getting back to school after their 2 week break was not all that fun, but it's all downhill from here. May will be here before you know it!
Blake recently busted his lip and knocked out a tooth (baby tooth, thank goodness) while trying out his new skateboard! It was SO bad. I will have to post some pics of it.
Laynie is doing good, she has been battling sinuses. She is a trooper though. She performed last night with her youth choir and has another one this Friday in Tulsa. They are fun to watch and great to listen to!
I will post more tomorrow. Pictures too.
Promise!
