First Day of School

Today was the kid's first day of school at their new school. Clint and I drove out to Belmont (our new subdivision) and waited on the bus with them. They were really excited. I'm so glad they are so open to new things. When I was little a new school would have been REALLY scary!

The Porch

This weekend Clint worked on putting up the "wall" on the screen porch. We even put in a dogie door for Bogie. Clint really has done a great job on the porch! The brick layer was there putting brick around the outside fireplace. As you can see the walls are painted yellow and the trim is white. It's very cozy.

Almost There!

Well, they are almost done trimming the house! I am counting down the days! The cement guys are out there today pouring our driveway and sidewalks. The new trees we planted are looking really good despite the 100 degree temps we've been having! They are paining the inside of the screened poarch. I picked a pretty shade of yellow. I hope it turns out good.

Flag Football Time

It's time for Blake's first year of flag football. We had to get him a mouth piece last night and form it to his teeth. His first practice is this Sunday. Should be fun!

The tooth is finally out!!

After many weeks of Blake's tooth hanging by a thread, he finally let us pull it last night. He wanted me to do it, so we counted down from 5 and then, with a very easy pull, it was out. He was SO excited. We did a little dance! He put it in the tooth fairy bag and kissed it... then under the pillow it went!

Cabinets!!

When we got back from San Antonio yesterday we went straight to the house to see the cabinets! It was really cool to see the kitchen come together after all that planning on paper. Everything looked great! Clint says they should be done by the end of the week.

This is looking at the area where the kitchen sink will be. I love that I can look out the window like that! To the right of the sink (the square opening) is where the dishwasher is going. Notice that it's built up off the floor! I saw one in a showroom and it was really nice not to have to bend over so far to load and unload!
